This recent event is one of hundreds staffed annually by eight WVC student ambassadors supporting Strategy & Equity and Outreach & Recruitment. Their mission: transform every interaction with West Valley into a welcoming, meaningful experience for prospective students and community members.

Increasingly visible at campus and community events, student ambassadors have earned a reputation for excellence, said Kailani Bowers, director of Outreach & Recruitment. Her team鈥檚 strategy centers on intentionally developing ambassadors as leaders and college representatives.
鈥淭hrough ongoing mentorship, skill-building, and reflective guidance, we empower them to grow in confidence while promoting their authentic selves in every interaction,鈥� Bowers said.
Whether tabling at community events, staffing the College Concierge Desk, leading campus tours, or supporting events from Juventud Rising to WVC Open House, student ambassadors serve with professionalism, warmth, and purpose.
